How do we achieve this look? How long does it last or is it even for me? Let me tell you a little bit more and see if this is new trend is the do for you!
What is fashion hair?
“Fashion hair” is hair color that is typically “unnatural” hair tones; for example pink, purple, green etc. We are also experiencing tons of requests for the blue, gray and silver tones.
How do I get fashion hair?
We achieve this look by first lightening your hair to create a blank canvas for the new color. We take our time to care for the hair and make sure it stays in the best condition, often using Redken’s PH Bonder® to keep your hair healthy and strong . After your hair is done lightening, we’ll rinse and blow dry you to prepare you for the fashion colors! Your stylist will apply your color(s) of choice and you’ll be processing for 20-30 minutes.
How long do fashion colors last?
Fashion colored hair unfortunately doesn’t last as long as a regular color . Fashion hair typically stays the brightest for only a few weeks then starts to fade. Depending on the tone, the hair will fade to different color. For example, a purple fades more on tone than a blue would, which has a tendency to fade to a green color.
What is the maintenance like?
With colored hair we very highly recommend coming in ever 4-6 weeks to keep your color vibrancy. Of course, you will need color-safe, sulfate free shampoos and conditioners. Sulfates are color stripping salts that dull your color. We also recommend that you bring home a conditioning treatment such as Pureology® Superfood Mask or Redken® Extreme Mega Mask for lasting shine!
