The excess humidity and heat makes for happy skin throughout the summer, but once the leaves start to change, so does our skin. The beginning of Fall brings crisper temperatures, beautiful sunsets, but DRIER air. It is our job to be aware of these seasonal changes and change our skincare regimen to compensate for the different time of year.
In the Fall and Winter our skin gets more dry, causing a pileup of dead skin cells over our pores. We have to find a way to balance good exfoliation with daily hydration. This balance will be different for every person, so schedule a consultation with one of our estheticians to find out what will work best for you.
This article is going to tell you about a great routine for this time of year, but as always, skin care is not one-size-fits-all. Feel free to take tips from this article, or even try the whole routine, but new-to-you products should be added one at a time, at least two weeks apart from each other. You should add your new products one a time just in case any one doesn’t work for you, you can pinpoint exactly which one it is.
- Flash Foam Cleanser

This cleanser is UH-MAZ-ING. It is loaded with great ingredients like natural fruit enzymes, green tea and vitamin B-5. The fruit enzymes give a natural exfoliation while the green tea and b-5 hydrate and work to strengthen the skin. Definitely a great cleanser for this time of year! Just use 1 pump of product and massage onto wet skin.
2. Equalizer

Just mist 1-3 times all over your face to prep your skin for the rest of your products! A toner is a must-have for any skin routine since it helps balance the pH of your skin back to it’s normal level after using a cleaner.
3. Recovery Serum

Recovery serum helps bring out the best in your skin. Applied after your toner, it’s going to help seal in all the hydration from the equalizer, while delivering it’s own hydration. A little goes a long way, and the difference is definitely noticeable with and without this product. It’s a must-have for your bathroom shelf this season since it can help heal and prevent dry skin patches.
4. Moisturizer
Different moisturizers suit different people differently, so it’s all about finding what works for you. If you’re not sure if your skin is oily, combo, or dry, set up a consultation with one of our estheticians so you can be using products that are correct for your skin type! In the Fall, Remineralist Daily Moisture is best for those with oily skin, Absolute Moisture is best for combo skin, Crucial for dry, and Really Rich for very dry skin types. In the winter, lighter moisturizers like beyond hydration might not be the best choice since it could end up not adding enough moisture to combat the weather. Try using a more intense moisturizer in the winter, and notice your skin changing for the better!
