May Your Skin Be Merry and Bright

Holiday season is upon us and this means holiday cheer, family time, shopping and reflection on the past year! With all the excitement it’s easy to lose track of ourselves and our skin. Don’t forget yourself this holiday season, here are a few tips to get you through to the New Year!

Stay hydrated! I know this is a hard goal to keep for some but it is so important. With harsh weather, winds, and heat on in the home, our skin can really lose its moisture quickly! If your white Christmas also includes white wine (I’m sure I’m not the only one,) you’ll want to really step up the water intake. Try sprucing it up by adding in different fruits and herbs to make it more of a treat. Removal of dead skin cells will also help keep your skin glowing for holiday pictures. While we offer many exfoliants for different skin types, Measured Micrograins is my go to for all skin types. Bioelements really knocked it out of the park with this gentle jojoba bead and soothing oatmeal to buff away dead skin cells.

Did you know SPF should be used all year? Yes, even on a cloudy and rainy day, 80% of sun rays still can reach your skin. Pair that with light reflecting off the snow and your skin will really take a hit! Both Bioelements SPF’s also contain moisturizing and anti-aging properties all in one. Our Mirabella Tinted Moisturizer contains SPF and also gives you a light coverage to even out the skin with out the heaviness of a foundation.

Our Farmhouse Fresh line offers a variety of gift options, sets, and stocking stuffers. While these are amazing gifts to give, try gifting yourself with one! In between your spa and salon visits try and relax with one of our holiday inspired bath bombs and slather up after with a body oil that smells good enough to eat. Besides being used as an all over moisturizer, it is also an amazing makeup remover and can even be dripped into a warm bath!

Make this holiday season one that you not only take care of others, but also yourself. Trust me, your skin will thank you!
